Sequence Enrichment Consumables Kits

The Sequence Enrichment Solution and RDT 1000 come with a Consumables Kit that contains the following components:

Reagents and Consumables

  • RDT 1000 Sequence Enrichment Chip
The Sequence Enrichment Chip provides the microfluidic features required for processing droplets. The chip is a single-use consumable designed to eliminate any concern of cross-contamination or carryover between samples. The chip contains no integrated valves or moving parts ensuring robust and reliable processing of droplets.
  • RDT 1000 Pipette Tips
The RDT 1000 Pipette Tips are single-use consumables designed to facilitate the interface between the macro-volume environment of the laboratory workflow and the pico-volume environment of RainStorm droplets.
  • RDT 1000 Drive Oil
The RDT 1000 Drive Oil is a specially formulated reagent optimized for loading PCR reaction mixture on the RDT 1000 system.
  • RDT 1000 Carrier Oil
The RDT 1000 Carrier Oil is a specially formulated solution of oil and detergent which is used to generate and manipulate droplets for the sequence enrichment application.
  • RDT 1000 Droplet Stabilizer/Destabilizer Reagents
The RDT 1000 Droplet Stabilizer/Destabilizer Reagents are specially formulated reagents added to the DNA template mixture and droplet emulsion following PCR. These reagents provide droplet stability during merging and a simple and straightforward protocol to recover amplified DNA in the aqueous phase.

Primer Libraries

Custom-Order Libraries

RDT 1000 Custom-Order Libraries allow researchers to define libraries to enrich for loci of interest using the sequence enrichment application. The process will be initiated by the end-user submitting a list of genomic loci to RainDance. PCR primers will be designed using criteria developed by RainDance to maximize specificity and yield using RainStorm droplet-based PCR. Oligonucleotide primers will be synthesized and pooled together as forward and reverse primer pairs. The primer pairs will be reformatted into droplets such that each droplet contains only one primer pair. Droplet libraries are prepared at RainDance and undergo quality control testing to ensure uniform representation of each primer pair in the library. Aliquots of the custom-order library are then shipped to the end-user for processing on the RDT 1000 system.

  • Defined-Content Libraries
RainDance will work closely with customers and collaborators to develop panels of primer libraries as reagents that will be of interest to the larger scientific community. Examples of defined content libraries include cancer-specific pathways.
  • RDT 1000 Test Library
The RDT 1000 Test Library is a library of 384 primer pairs provided as a control reagent for use in familiarization and training. The library is designed to amplify 384 human exons representing a wide range of primer Tm, amplicon length and amplicon GC content
